High Caliber Labradors
Congratulations on the addition of your new family member. Your puppy has been well cared for while it has been with our family/ facility. The puppy has been fed Purina Pro Plan Puppy food a premium pet food. We feel it is the best dog food available. We recommend that you consult with your veterinarian as to what feeding instructions he or she recommends.
Your puppy’s dewclaws have been removed before 3 days of age, and your puppy has received two (2) deworming’s and an initial vaccination series. High Caliber Labradors recommends that you take your puppy to your veterinarian within the first week of being with you to get the puppy started on its own personal health plan.
Hip and Eye Guarantee
We guarantee the health of the hips (fair rating or better) and eyes of every dog produced from High Caliber Labradors for 26 months. The guarantee begins from the date of birth. Hip x-rays must be completed by a licensed veterinarian and submitted to Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) for evaluation.
A Board Certified Veterinarian Ophthalmologist must conduct the eye exam. The ophthalmologist must state in writing that the defect is definitely of a hereditary nature and not caused by injury or illness.
The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) shall be the sole judge regarding hip dysplasia. The Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF) shall be the sole judge regarding hereditary eye defects. Copies of all paperwork must be submitted to High Caliber Labradors.
If OFA or CERF verifies that the dog has a hereditary defect the dog must be immediately sterilized (neutered or spayed). Proof of sterilization must be submitted to High Caliber Labradors. If the dog has been used to sire or whelp a litter, the guarantee is null and void. High Caliber Labradors will replace the said dog with a puppy of a similar breeding as soon as a puppy is available. The said dog MUST be returned to High Caliber Labradors with AKC paperwork for a puppy replacement. Note that High Caliber Labradors is not responsible for any and all other health conditions, including death, and what this health guarantee does not specifically state. High Caliber Labradors does not guarantee any puppy to be of breeding quality.
High Caliber Labradors reserves the right to assume that you are purchasing this puppy for yourself. An ownership transfer of this puppy other than from High Caliber Labradors to you voids this health guarantee.
